Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22, 1985, in New York City New York) has earned acclaim due to her ability to act across different genres such as classic dramas, to thrillers and action films. Johansson is the daughter and wife of an architect and a producer was raised within New York City. The twin brothers Hunter and she were among the youngest of siblings. Her interest began in acting from a very young age auditioning for commercials by age seven. She entered the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after that and was enrolled in at the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to continue her training. She first made an appearance as a film actress in North (1994) around nine years old. At eight, she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson appeared next as a character in Just Cause (1996), however it was Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her a breakthrough. The film tells the story of two young girls that are leaving. After that, she received appreciation for her portrayal of one of the teens who is injured in a disfiguring accident within The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention as the unpopular teen Rebecca as Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). Smith's parents helped her with getting her first role in the acting world when she was just six. She starred in a TV commercial for Dannon yogurt. Like many actresses who are just starting out, to refine her skills in theatre. She worked on various projects across the USA as she made her debut on stage. She went to in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
